Make winter work
Take the weather warnings seriously. If the Met Office says
don't travel, they mean it. Make sure you've fully considered the
risk before setting off. Think safety.
To help you make a considered risk assessment, we have a range
of on and off-road courses and seminars to help you manage driving
risks. Safety is just as much about preparation as it is about
learning on the road. Preparing your vehicle, checking weather
forecasts, being aware of the risks and consequences and writing
your risk management plan can all be done indoors, in the
warm. On-road training starts with a reminder of the risks
and consequences of driving in winter. It's a chance to practice
techniques for driving in the rain, wind and snow.
